Photoblog: Abandoned places

Check out these incredible photos of lost cities, underwater treasures and nature taking over the man-made from Francesco Mugnai’s design blog. They give me wanderlust like nothing else.

You don’t need to travel far to find abandoned beauty. If you ever feel slightly suffocated in the City, head to one of my favourite places – St Dunstan’s in the East, a beautiful ruined church that’s been taken over by ivy and the elements. Damaged in the Blitz, its grounds are now a peaceful public garden that is eerily calm despite being in the heart of the Square Mile.
