I’ve always been a little bit in love with Fat Face’s philosophy:

“Hunt down the perfect wave, ski from dawn till dusk, shed your 9 to 5 skin. When all is said and done, better a bad day on the slopes than a good day in the office.”

And now I’m coveting their gorgeous new winter collection, which features cosy Fair Isle knits, retro leather hiking boots and the sweetest hats and gloves, perfect for getting lost in the woods or braving the snow in. • Clare Louise Cooney says:

To keep cosy in winter i always keep my scarf wrapped tightly around me, and nothing can beat a beautiful hand knitted jumper.
In those cold crisp evenings a snuggle on the sofa with a hot cup of tea and a loved one is so heart warming and amazing.

  • Suzanne Wakefield says:

A furry throw always brings in extra heat as many cats and a dog all try to get on it too – admitted it gets a bit squashy, but all the beasties do keep us warm 🙂

  • Tricia Clark says:

Pulling the cosy scarf around my daughter’s neck,
Making sure my son is tucked up in his cosy toes in his pram,
The look of winter – red cheeks, huge smiles, and giggling,
Stomping through leaves, wandering around the forests’ trees,
Running off energy whilst delighting at what the coldest months bring.
Quick – home! Into snuggles on the sofa,
Watching classic xmas movies on the tv,
Winter warmers for my children and me….

  • caroline mccabe says:

I will wrap up warm with my quilted coat, scarf and gloves, long welly socks and boots. It’s great to go for a country walk when it is cold and crisp – as long as you feel warm. I hope we have some snow so we can take our daughter sledging again – it also gives me an excuse to use the sledge myself and it brings out the big kid in me!

  • Emily Trevail says:

I love winter, the anticipation of Christmas just around the corner and the cold, crisp mornings with the frost biting at your nose. My aga has to be my favorite thing over the winter months, within stepping in the front door it is merely seconds before I am sat on top of the heart of the house, where I remain as long as possible before my bum is burning.

  • Lucy Hatton says:

Woolly hat and gloves and a flask of hot chocolate is surely the only way.

  • Sian Rogers says:

I love getting cosy for winter in my fluffy slipper boots, a comfy pair of pjs with a marshmallow hot chocolate and my family in front of a roaring fire after a nice long country walk in my favourite leg warmers and boots and a huge warm jumper. 🙂

  • Cristina says:

I keep warm using my huge hand knitted scarf. I love my scarf!
I also need something warm on my hands, so a hot orange and cinnamon mocha is my favorite winter drink.

  • sianrogers says:

to keep cosy in winter, after nice long walks with my family in the crisp countryside, i love to snuggle up on the sofa with a mug of hot chocolate and marshmallows and my favourite pair of pjs with my fluffy slipper boots 🙂

  • Cynthia Lim says:

Moving to England from a country that is 30 degrees all year round does take a little getting used to. However, I’ve found that I am most cosy in the winter months when I am in my jumper and track bottoms under a faux fur throw in front of the fire place. All of that accompanied by a hot cup of camomile tea, how can anyone still complain of the cold? 😉

  • Marijo says:

Thermal underwear and a layering system for me. Much better than thish woolens

  • Coralie Severs says:

I keep cosy with my lovely fat face gilet when out and about, and by keeping active – climbing trees, throwing a frisbee or larking around with my family. I love an open fire and can’t wait for the cosy feeling and lovely smell of a decorated christmas tree!

  • Esther Gerard-Stewart says:

Hoody, trackies tucked into slipper boots, my extra long woolly scarf wrapped all around topped off with matching bobble hat and mittens – excessive but I live in an old house in the country so definitely necessary!

  • Alison B says:

Fleece pants and hoodie are what I wear on the coldest days

  • Katie F says:

I keep cosy at home by keeping a spare duvet on the sofa and using my beloved hot water bottle.

  • Emma McC says:

Cosy PJ’s, fluffy dressing gown, my electric blanket & a cuppa tea. Bliss!

  • zweebee says:

I like to keep warm in winter by draping my hot husband around me. He’s always toasty enough for both of us, whether we’re out in the snow or tucked up in bed. Lucky me! I just always need to remember to take him with me…

  • Kathryn Lacey says:

1 – Find a comfy sofa in front of a TV
2 – Locate snuggie (for those not in the know, a blanket with sleeves!)
3 – Grab pair of fuzzy socks from drawer
4 – Make proper hot chocolate with actual milk
5 – Fill up mini hot water bottle
6 – Sit on sofa, put on snuggie + fuzzy socks, hug hot water bottle and drink hot chocolate!

Don’t think you can get more snug than that! :o)

  • Laura Miller says:

My other half is not the type of person to just sit and relax. Therefore, when he leaves on a cold Saturday morning to play Rugby, its my chance to get my soft, snuggly clothes on, hot water bottle and slanket out, get on the sofa or in bed with a cuippa tea, box of Maltesers and watch rubbish on TV all day. Bliss and guilt free as he’s not there to nag at me 🙂 Perfect! x

  • The cosiest scarf wrapped tight, a chunky soft jumper with a super warm gilet then the thickest of socks inside some gorgeous boots and I’m happy to wander round on the chilliest of days!

  • Shona Lawson says:

I used to live in Africa so keeping cozy in winter is very important for me! 😛 I always wear a wooly hat and scarf. And in the run up to Christmas I drink mulled wine and cider, that keeps me very cozy!

  • Andrew Marks says:

Warm hats, autumnal tones, abloom loved ones and delicious orange fires bellowing out life, light or crackling kindling scars.

  • Hannah says:

To keep warm in winter I snuggle up in hoodies, chunky knits, blankets and a log fire never goes a miss!

  • Jo Ross says:

I love the winter more than summer as you can always add an extra layer to keep you warm, you can eat casserole and mashed potatoe and have hot chocolate with cream and marshmallows. I love snuggling into my fat face loungewear and my lovely slippers and socks and snuggling under a rug with my hubby beautiful children and dogs next to the fire watching a soppy film whilst listening to the rain/snow fall on my windows outside- sheer bliss.

  • Claire says:

I just love sitting in on a cold evening in front of the fire with my children having a nice mug of hot chocolate.

Awww the best thing about winter is getting snuggly, snuggly slipper socks, snuggly scarfs, toastie hot baths and wrapping up in snuggly blankets.

    And mittens on string!!!!

To keep cosy in the winter season, I like to wrap my self up in my cosy fat face scarfs and hats, not to forget my coats, on top of that I like to cover myself up with blankets before travelling in my beautiful veedub, the vintage vehicle doesn’t manage to produce any heat!

  • Nena says:

When I’m properly feeling the cold in winter I find the best thing to do is to get wrapped up and go for a long walk; not stopping til my cheeks are glowing. Then when I’m home, it’s straight into the bath, pj’s on and pie n mash for tea!

  • Theresa says:

Roaring log fire, fat face pjs, large glass of brandy, old films and lots of snuggles with Miss Flo my Persisn purdy cat x

if i have the energy, i spread my bedcover on the floor, put on my fur-tapper hat (from fat face coincidentally), lie on the cover and roll into a massive blue and white sausage. i then call in the help of a massive labrador to lie down to act as a massive pair of slippers as i sit on the infront of the aga.
im not insane, i just dont like being cold.

  • Lynn Evans says:

I love to get out and about bird/wildlife spotting so keeping warm is a must. Lots of layers, hat and scarf and my favourite new item from Fat Face…. a pair of pretty Knitted Bird Mittens. I love these as I can use my camera/binoculars and then pull down the flaps to keep my fingers snug!

  • georgi hawes says:

Hi girl outdoors, i snuggle up on the sofs with my red fatface woolly socks, a furry blanket and my newborn daughter elodie- pure bliss.

  • Rowena Griffiths says:

I would always opt for a special warming drink – apple and cinnamon herbal tea, mulled wine or honey and lemon with a touch of whiskey. Warming, inside and out!

  • Elina says:

Having just moved to England from a real winter country, Finland, I know a thing or two about how to enjoy the winter to the fullest. I LOVE crispy frosty winter air, which definitely freshens me up. A big soft scarf wrapped around my neck and warm woolen socks to keep my too-many-a-time-frozen feet warm, and I am ready for winter outdoors! After having enjoyed the fresh outdoors: cosy pyjamas, fluffy flippers and hot chocolate (or Finnish Christmas drink ‘glögi’) in candle light. Perfection!

  • Crystal Swain says:

To keep warm in winter I love comfy pjs and hot water bottles. Cuddles with the kids are lovely too! 🙂

  • Leanne Brooks says:

To keep warm and cosy I put on my most comfy joggers/lounge pants, a cosy knitted jumper and slipper socks on my feet. Then to top it all off I wrap myself in my blue snuggy that my sister bought me last Christmas. It has arm holes and a TV remote pocket so I am always in control of the TV when wearing it. Perfect for putting on the best winter/Christmas films 😀

  • Faye Benbow says:

I just love getting cosy, it gets me through those cold dark days. I am never seen without a knitted warm scarf aroung my neck and make sure I wear a vest and layers and keep the cake tins full of home made comfort yumminess! I have lots of candles lit in every room, my favorite chunky knit throws and blankets on the sofas and huddle there with my cat and hubby whilst drinking hot chocolate with the fire on with the smell of a winter roast coming from the oven next door.

  • Emma says:

Thick knit sweater with sheep on, thick snuggly tights, wooly boot socks, leather boots, a wool skirt, a big warm coat, a wooly hat and a layer of scarves…. snug as a bug in a rug!
And for indoors… well.. a warm fire, a blanket on the sofa and a hot whiskey with lemon and cloves… Winter. Done!

  • Melisa Harker says:

After a fun day in the snow building snowmen, snow forts, and making snow angels with my four children, I love to wrap up in a warm blanket, snuggle on the couch and enjoy some hot cocoa or even spiced cider. Just found your fun site via FatFace FB page. Love it!

Winter is the time to show off all my fatface winter woolies ,my cable cardigans are always to hand, blue and pink are the ones I live in 🙂 thrown over my tunic and thick leggings and I’m ready for the snow to fall , but also browsing the Web to plan for next summer 🙂

My 3 year old Fat Face white wool trapper (still looking and feeling brand new), my autumn coloured scarf and gloves, as well as my most magnificent accessory – my other half kitted out in Fat Face men’s knitted sweats to wrap around :).

  • Gwen Tynnicliffe says:

Winter is when my dogs radiator belly comes in handy! I like to keep warm by layering layers and layers of cosy knits around me, even if it does give the illusion I’ve put on a few pounds. A warm fire by my feet, some homemade butternut squash soup in my lap and a blanket at the ready is all I need.

  • Sarah S says:

Long, brisk walks with a flask of piping hot tea!

  • Living in Scotland we need to wrap up warm in the winter. I usually wear a tunic under a cozy filet, Shearling boots, overlap mittens, snood and a trapper hat. Thick cozy leggings too. I’m ready to enjoy the snow.

  • Elsie B says:

This year seems to be a really chilly, rainy one – and rumour has it that snow is on the way! This might be good news for snowmen and ice skaters, but to get to work in the mornings I need to cycle 4 miles through fields and forests at 7am – and I definitely need to be wearing the right cosy winter clothes: hat, gloves, scarf, ear muffs, thick socks, you name it!
I love browsing in Fat Face for all the warm, fluffy, winter goodies.
I’ve been looking online recently and my favourites this year are…

The Gemma Gilet – the fur makes it look so huggable!

The Estella Patterned Cardigan – I love Christmas jumpers!

And the Birdy Tall Wellies – Mulberry coloured with such a cute bird print lining – these would be perfect for my muddy early morning cycling!

And then obviously at the end of the day… you can’t beat some mulled wine and a mince pie by the fire, with carols on the radio (I know it’s still November but I can’t help the Christmas spirit!), presents under the tree and nothing to do but relax with your friends and watch Love Actually on TV!
